In one of the most beautiful regions of the south of Brazil - the "Campos de Cima da Serra" (fields of upper range) - are found the Itaimbezinho and the Fortaleza canyons. Its impressive formation result in unusual scenery of green rocky walls measuring 1000 meters deep with abundant vegetation. The araucaria forests (Brazilian pine tree), an endangered fauna and the rivers which fall dawn the canyons walls, so high, that frequently turn into fog, complete the exuberant landscape of these two Brazilian National Parks, located on the surroundings of the Parador Casa da Montanha.
